Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. SendGrid provides a REST API that exposes contacts, lists, email statistics, templates, and suppression data like bounces and unsubscribes. Note API Connector connects to this API using a Bearer token to pull your SendGrid data into Notion on a scheduled basis.
In SendGrid, go to Settings, then API Keys, and click Create API Key. Choose Full Access or a custom Read Access permission level, then copy the key. In Note API Connector, connect your Notion workspace, click Create Request, paste a SendGrid API endpoint URL, and add the key under the Authorization tab as a Bearer Token.
Yes. Enable Auto Schedule in Note API Connector and choose your refresh interval: hourly, daily, or custom. Your SendGrid data will sync into Notion automatically on that schedule with no manual action required.
SendGrid's global Stats endpoint requires a start_date query parameter in YYYY-MM-DD format so it knows which date range to summarize. Add it directly to the endpoint URL, for example ?start_date=2026-06-01, and optionally add end_date to limit the range.
You can sync marketing contacts, contact lists, email statistics, templates, bounces, and unsubscribes. Each SendGrid API endpoint can be mapped to a separate Notion database, so you can build a complete email marketing and deliverability overview inside Notion.
For a Notion sync, a Restricted Access key with Read Access on the areas you need (such as Marketing and Stats) is safer than Full Access, since Note API Connector only needs to read your data, not create or delete anything in SendGrid.
No. Note API Connector is a no-code tool. You paste your SendGrid API endpoint URL, add your API key as a Bearer Token, select your Notion database, and map fields visually. No programming knowledge is needed.
Yes. Note API Connector only needs read access to sync your data, and your credentials are never stored in plain text. Note API Connector never writes or modifies any data in your SendGrid account when using a read only key.
